Hi,

I cannot login into phpMyAdmin, it comes up with the following error.

Error

MySQL said: Documentation
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

I also can't login to the MYSQL console.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks,

Gail.

Hi Steven,

Thanks so much for saying you will have a look at this for me, I have sent you the teamviewer remote control details for my PC to your email addresses.

Gail.

To experiencers like Steven, me or some others, these are very simple to sort out, but if you don't know then it might take you awhile; anyway, if you don't like people nosy on your PC, try these:

1. If you've already set password, you need to reset it then set it up properly

Download ResetMySQL here
[downloads.jlbn.net]

You should setup Backup right after setup Wamp successful, so you can go back if something wrong later
To setup Backup, follow this
[blog.jlbn.net]

To setup Password, follow this
[blog.jlbn.net]

2. If you never setup password, you currently or used to have another Database server such as SQL, MySQL... or PHP on your PC; then, you need to search your PC and delete these files if they're outside wamp folder: php.ini, my.ini, my.cnf, my.conf ... or any other Database configuration file. Note that if you don't disable "Hide known extension..." you will not able to search these files as your PC only see them as php, my ... instead php.ini, my.ini ...
