WampServer

Have installed and reinstalled wamp 4 times and all I get is a blank page for admin, webgrind and localhost. Checked port 80 said it is connected to it, so have no idea what the problem is. Hopefully someone will answer as I really need to use this program.

Make sure no other program conflict Wamp such as IIS, Microsoft Web Deploy, SQL, Skype, Zonealarm, firewall/antivirus, NOD32, Eset, any web related program including Remote Desktop, Teamviewer or Apache, MySQL, PHP outside wamp folder (ie. in Program Files or System32 folder) ...

IIS and Apache/Wamp are both web server and might conflict in some way, so you have to disable IIS in order for Wamp to work

Disable IIS in Vista/W7:

Control Panel, Uninstall Programs, Turn Widows Features On or Off, uncheck Internet Information Services

Disable IIS in XP:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, uncheck Internet Information Services (IIS)

Restart computer, then restart Wamp

Also, in folder C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc, open file hosts and delete anything in this file and have only this line below and nothing else

127.0.0.1 localhost

If using Skype, open Skype > Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection then uncheck "use port 80..." restart Wamp then Skype

Appreciate the reply, IIS was already disabled, localhost is listed in file however there are other things in there that I will not delete, do not have skype, restarted still did not work

but my localhost page cant load????
i am not installed skype also..

Have not got it to work. Looks like a consistent theme here, might have to look for a different program. Was referred by someone with an older version.

that would cause issue since they redirect away from locahost which results blank page and no matter which wamp package you're using, you're gonna got same issue

Really the issue is with your software, installed xampp and easyphp, both work great right out of the box.

Then use either 1 of them since it's no matter which wamp package you're using as long as you're happy w/ it but if you're not happy w/ with either 1, you need to uninstall them, remove their registries before installing this wamp

@stevemartin99 Lol, you can think that if you like, have never had a problem with software of any type till this and then had no problem with 2 others like yours, really my pc? Come on.

i can make it work. its simple - if you let me

wamp respects some rules .. those other software dont. thats all - they just force themselves to work - breaking other things.


use the others if you like. but DONT NOT say its Wamp UNLESS your sure about that.

and i AM SURE - its something on your pc

As already mentioned, no matter which wamp package you're using, you have the same main sources of Apache, MySQL, PHP and myPHPadmin. While this wamp leave the choice to the use to have their own add-on, other different wamp package would put in some additional add-on which are good for the users that use them but not very good for the users that don't use them and can NOT able to take them out of the package (: so if you're talking about handle things related to Apache, MySQL, and PHP, they should handle the same

Hey! I am also getting the same error.. i Bought a Windows server with IIS server installed already ... i removed the IIS Server so that i can use wamp.. In my server there is nothing installed yet..no antivirus no skype anything.. But still my wamp icon is yellow.. cant access to local host or phpmyadmin.... any suggestion for me..
