Is wampserver portable/runnable from USB stick?

As far as I can see there are services part of the wampserver.
But I can start wampserver without running services.
So are these services necessary to run wampserver?

Can I start wampserver and tell him: Install services if you do not find them on the current computer?
Or is the only way to install the services during official installation procedure?

Great, thank you.

Much to my surprise I found no web page where Wampee is described or even mentioned.
Ok, you gave me the download link but it would be interesting to get some more information.

- E.g. when was the last release
- Which versions of the software parts are contained.

Uusually there is at least ONE web page for a piece of software.

What is the URL for Wampee doc?

Ok, I extracted Wampee now.

The systray-context menu still shows "Start all services" and "stop all services".

These entries are meaningless in Wampee? Am I right?

Furthermore I could not exit Wampee server from Systray icon. It shows an exception error (under 64bit WIn7)
Is this bug known?

hmm i dunno about the bug... but the services is correct..

it installs and uninstalls them when wamp is open and closed.

it also rewrites the paths so that different drive letters wont affect it..

maybe the exception error is just a menu bug when php wasnt running. as wamps menu is build using php

I've been using almost everyday, even at my workplace w/o any issue; thus, you have to find out what prevent Wamp/Apache to run. To quit Wampee, select Eject Key instead Exit

I've downloaded and extracted wampee to my usb stick. When I try accessing localhost I get this error:

[localhost]
there was a problem sending the command to the program.

Anyone know how to resolve this? I really like the concept and want this thing to work.

Thanks
