mysql defult password

I installed wamp 2.1d to machine (windows 7), i can't connect to mysql when i start mysql console and hit the enter can't login.

What is the problem i didn't change anything ?

How could i change mysql password if i cant login ?

Error is: access denied for user root (using password NO).

maybe wamps mysql is not running.. and another mysql is installed..?

wamp by default has no password...

make sure the wamp icon is green

if i try to connect to database with phpmyadmin is error to #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

but my localhost work ok

Why wamp icon is orange ?

you have mysql installed seperatly already on this machine.. you will need to stop it

click start> type in

services.msc


on the list find

MYSQL

right click> properites.

click stop.. and change the startup type to DISABLED

i stop mysql but still got the orange icon (i restarted all services)

i try to start my wampmysql manualy in services.msc but i cant.

error 1067 the process terminated undexpectedly

wampapache has status started

can be a problem that i have installed sql server 2008 ( can't be?)

yes it could be as they would use the same port -


but first search your pc for MY.INI

delete any that are not in the wamp folder.


if this doesnt work , ill explain how to have MSSQL AND MySQL Running together
