Do you have any solution to this problem?
I have a domain hosted at one.com. They do not support my ssl certificate.
So, I tried to move the members pages to WAMPServer at home.
But, DSLmodem, dynamic ip so ...... I got a dynamic DNS.
Still it dont work as pages at home is a subdomain to dyndns. = no valid certificate.
They want 99 USD/year for a certificat I can get for free.

How do I redirect/link from my website to my server at home?

something like this
[domain.com] at host one.com - I wrote http here
[domain.com] to my server at home? - I wrote https here

I own the domain parked at a webhotel one.com.
I have the ssl certificate for my domain but I cant use it as one.com does not support it.
We can move to a more expensive host, but ...

We are a nonprofit organisation and cant afford more fees.

Ok, members can use it with the warning that the site is not safe. But as I have a certificate ........

Correct me if I'm wrong; if your site is non-profit, you don't have to anything to sale and thus don't need SSL; if for donation, use Paypal

I'm afraid you will NEVER achive what you're trying since both http and https have to point to same address, thus either find another hosting or buy a SSL cert rom current hosting winking smiley

Thanks,
well we cant afford it.
I was told that CNAME will solv the problem.
It will take some time before I can try it.

SSL is for protecting the members area with encryption and login.
There is other values in life than money to protect.

PAYPAL ?? after Wikileaks? NEVER !!!! We quit every account we had on Paypal, e-bay, Skype and some more.

But I still dont no. The plan now is a subdomain at the main site "pointing" at the dyndns site at home with use of CNAME.
But I dont understand much of it yet. Cert is valid for main site and one subdomain.

Still need more alternatives if exist.

For now I need to solv problems with phpmyadmin.
