WampServer

Maybe i am just missing something but i can't seem to find where WAMPserver tells me why things don't work. For instance i occasionally do a restart all services and the little tray icon shows yellow as opposed to all white. But for the life of me can't figure out why. Is there a reason the WAMP server wouldn't know what the issue is and not be able to tell me?

yes - because wamp is built using Aestean tray menu which doesnt have that capability.

but you can find out by

LEFT click wamp icon > apache > service > Start Service
LEFT click wamp icon > mysql > service > Start Service

if Start Service is GREYED OUT - it means this is started.. so the other one that is clickable is not started..

you can try starting it again - or open c:/wamp/logs for a clue

usually some other program is using the port apache or mysql needs or a mistake in a config file.
