Hosting 2 websites on WAMP

I am a retard, and I think it's possible but I need a little clarification... yes I have read other tutorials online, but I have failed each time I've attempted... I am a retard

Here goes:

I have wamp installed on a computer in my basement hosting one website www.cameronbrown.ca This is SITE1

That is working fine

Now I recently purchased a second domain for a different site SITE2 on godaddy, and I would like to host that site on the same wamp server.

I think I can set this up using vitualhosts in wamp, but since I just have on IP address from shaw, how do I get SITE2 to load it's own content if it is also pointing to the ip address of site1?

Hi Cameron,
You will accomplish this simply by setting up Vhosts to use NameVirtualHost method.

Steven had some great tutorials here, maybe I can find the links.

Steven, I think you used to have links to those directly off the home page ???
Can you bring those back please. Probably also would be good to have a sticky in the forum pointing to those.

Just my two-sense ;^)

I'll be back with some links, Cameron.
Its pretty easy to do.

No matter within or outside LAN access, you need to setup Access, DNS, and VH; Access for permission to connect to your Wamp PC, DNS to tie Domain(s) to your Wamp PC, and VH to host multiple Domains/Websites/IP's and even you have only 1 Domain/IP, you should use VH to set it up w/ the site you want to show up first on top and localhost on bottom and others in middle if having more than 1 site; w/ VH, other PC's, no matter w/i or outside LAN, can access/see websites/contents on your wamp PC. If dont have real Domain, just skip DNS guide
