WampServer

Using Wampserver 2.0, I'm trying to access PEAR in order to install additional PHP packages.

From wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0\go-pear.bat generates the following error screen:

phar "C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.0\PEAR\go-pear.phar" does not have a signature

I'm guessing the error occurs because there is no index.php file in the PEAR sub-directory, but it's just a guess. Can someone please explain or direct me to an explanation of what's needed to operate PEAR in the Wampserver 2.0 environment?

Can anyone help me resolve the problem?

if install pears because follow some old book, ignore it and go to mysql section and use it instead; if you really need pear, you can download directly from pears website and install it yourself but keep in mind that pear is too old and does not have much change since a long time, thus it's too easy for hackers, spammers to exploit your wamp pc if having pear
