WAMP Silent Installation

Hi,

I am having problems installing the product silently.

Using the command:
WampServer2.0i.exe /SILENT

This works well up to a point (do not have to press next, or choose to accept license), but at the end it prompts for which browser to use.

If, before running the silent setup, I create a c:\wamp folder and add in the WampServer.conf file (which specfies the browser to use), then I am NOT prompted at the end of the silent setup, but the services (apache and php) are not installed.

I have a batch file created that can install these services, but these would be left behind in the event of an uninstall of the product.

Is there a way to have a truely silent (passive) installation?
I need to be able to install without any prompts, getting the product to use the default (explorer.exe) browser and install the services.

These not not work:
/q, /s, /passive, /quiet, browser=""

Thanks.

/verysilent has the same issue - still asks for the browser.
Downloaded your version and tried that - it works!

Can I ask what your exe does to accomplish the selection of the browser?

Thanks.

The exe does nothing execpt run my build of wamp which has a silent option. I sets the browser to ie I think. I'd have to build it again to change browser or add an option with a /switch

Steven,

I appreciate the time to help me here.
The browser is indeed set to IE. This is fine for me...

I was just curious to see how it is done.
The next version of wamp (whenever it is released) will have to be upgraded on our network, so we will likely run into the same issue then. Rather than having to bug you for another silent installer, I would appreciate if you can tell me how you managed to set the browser with the silent install.

IE - how did you create your EXE? What language, what commands?

Is this just a capture (Wise Installer for example) you performed?
I haven't tried capturing (using the /r switch etc)...

Thanks.

No I built it from the source using innosetup to bundle it. That uses pascal as an installation script.

How about I keep making the silent install versions as new wamp versions become available
