hey guys, I wanted to know something that I am having issues with

I am using MyBB and with Wamp and I can use any smtp providing i have a email server along side with wamp.

I am having problems with gmail and the TLS configuration ... ( is this a wamp issue ) ?

Has anyone got gmail working with wamp succesfully? If so can you give me some insight on how to get it to work along side with wamp?

So this has something to do with wamp? ( do I need to enable php something )

Unable to connect to the mail server with the given details.<br /><br />0: Unable to find the socket transport "tls" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?

u need a mail server... wamp isnt one

nope, I really don't think so since google have their own encryption mail and they change it very often so even you've got some hint from somebody to make it work then probably you can use it for couple hours or worst, couple minutes

I got Gmail to work inside wamp

Gmail requires you to use SSL authentication, a further step is required if you don't already have php configured for this:

1. open your php.ini file. Now uncomment the
;extension=php_openssl.dll.
extension=php_openssl.dll

2. Save the php.ini file and restart your server.

3.Try running your php again, it should send the mail.

Do you have to add the ssl port to the outgoing mail path?

e.g. smtp.gmail.com:587 or just smtp.gmail.com?

(note: 587 is the STARTTLS port)

I have also enabled extension=php_openssl.dll in the php.ini file?

I still cannot get it to work and my dang webhost isnot ready yet...

ill get back to you once you reply to this, ill get more in depth once you respond cause ill get more with it tomorrow evening

J'ai une probleme a propos d'envoie mail sur wamp!
j'ai activer php_openssl.dll, et j'utilise smtp.gmail.com avec port 587 mais ca donne l'erreur " SMTP server response: 530-5.5.1 Authentication Required. Learn more at 530 5.5.1"
Est ce quelqu'un peut m'aider?
