GD and FreeType support: What's the Support Story with Wamp?

I was unable to find anything definitive information regarding the level of support that the most recent WAMP server has for GD and FreeType.

I have been having problems with using a "php captcha script". The image appears on the WAMP test server and functions, however, when I move it to the Network Solutions' UNIX server, the text image does not show. In any case, Network Solutions told me to "pound-sand" that I will have to figure out why it doesn't work on THEIR server while it works on my WAMP server.

I am guessing the problem lies with in the GD and/or FreeType settings? Only a guess!

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it work.

I am using the scripts found at:
[www.easyphpcontactform.com]

Thanks in advance

Jayson

If the image doesn't show on the UNIX server it means they simply just need to install the GD-Library for you. For a host thats the most simple thing they can do these days

On the Unix server ensure the GD extension is enabled. You check this by creating a new script on the server, say gdtest.php with the following code
<?php phpinfo() ?>
Go to [yoursite.com]

Scroll down and see if there is GD2 subheading. If you can't find the heading GD is not enabled/installed.

You should check your PHP error logs too on the Unix server.
