Files not showing in list

Localhost > WAMP Server > Your Projects

I have nine (8) files in a test folder, four (4) of which have .txt extensions and are called using PHP.
header_1.txt
header_2.txt
sidebar.txt
footer.txt

The first two (the header files) don't show up on the list, the other six files (and one sub-folder) do.

I've tried changing the underscores to hyphens, closing up the names to header1 and header2 but they still don't show on the list.

I have .html files in my main (webpage) folder which use underscores in their name and do show up.

Has anyone any idea as to why this is happening ?

I don't have an index file in this folder.
In the main folder which has my website, I re-named the index file so that I get a list of all files and folders.

Neither 'header_1.txt' nor 'header_2.txt' show up in the main folder either. What does show are, 'footer.txt',
'sidebar.txt', 'sitemap.txt' and even an Excel file which I keep in there to keep tabs on page validation.

All my pages are .php, display correctly and validate as HTML 4.0 Strict so it's not causing a major problem.

I was just curious as to why the two files are not showing in the list.

Yeah, I know that. There are either two or three text files called, using PHP, for a page, depending on whether or not it has a sidebar menu. Theses are called header.txt, footer.txt and sidebar.txt . . . IT WORKS !

Yeah, the PAGE needs to be .php but according to the guys at 'comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html', the file you are calling can have a 'txt extension. Again, I can only say that it works as you can see from the page at : [www.ian-stewart.eu] which calls all three of the .txt files.
