How do I allow someone to use File Zilla to download to c:/wamp/www/fudge.com

Where do I find the information to give to them so they will know the following:

WAMP does not come with FTP.


You'll have to setup the FTP Server yourself.

Would you know how to setup File Zilla Server?

Login to FileZilla Admin interface. Click the Add User Account icon (icon with a computer/head).Go to the general page.

Click the Add button under the Users list. Fill in the username box. Click Ok. Now fill in the password for this user under the Account settings section (middle of the window).

Under the pages list select Shared Folders. Click the user you just added from the Users list (far right).

Now click Add button under the Shared Folders list. Navigate to C:/wamp/www/fudge.com Click Ok.

By default users can only read the contents in the shared folder. If you want to allow them to add and remove files select the Write and Delete file checkboxs. I you want to allow them to also create and delete folders select the Create and Delete directories checkboxes too.


Thats is it everything is setup. You will now need to configure your Firewall to accept connections on port 21.

NOTE: If you're behind a router you'll need to forward port 21 to your computers lan address. Consult your routers manual for forwarding ports. Or go to [portforward.com] and find your routers make/module for instructions.

These are the details you'll need to connect to your FTP Server

Host: This is your computers IP Address
Username: The user you just set up
Password: The password to the user you set up
Port: 21
