WampServer

Hello, I upgraded to 2.0i from 2.0c. Now I am in hell.

First the good news. Apache is running as my web sites are working, if you call serving up pages working. My perl is fine because I control that. (strawberry). So any apache/websites built with perl/postgresql are fine.

Now for the trouble. There are no errors in the Event Viewer except for lxehri and I can not find out what that is (no google/bing/yahoo hits).

PHP is not working and I can not get into the log because some app has it locked from sharing.

MySql is not working, I assume because that log is locked as well. I have no tools to check MySql without PHP.

Finally, wampmanager.exe seems to be busted. This is my eyes on what is going on. I assume it is hung and has the log files locked, at system boot. If I try to manually start wampmanger I get a aestray error at line 1260 so this is why I think it is hung. When I look at the system tasks I can find nothing. I am in Hell without PHP/MySql.

Help! Any Ideas?

You need to start wampserver to get Apache, PHP and Mysql working with your own config...
So, what is your error for that line ?

wampmanager start error is: The configuration file contains a syntax error on line 1260:[EParseError] Invalid section tag

line 1260 of wammanager.ini is:
1260 [php_ext_php_oci8.dll ; Use with Oracle 10gR2 Instant Client
1261 ]

I can not edit this file becaus it re writes itself

I did change php.ini, phpforapache.ini and php.ini inside apache and the conf file from other notes I found
