WampServer

I've downloaded the new WAMP.
Is there a Step By Step on downloading your live site to WAMP? With the old version ( once I got it set up ) all I had to do is bring my site down with the updated db and it was a go, but then that was over a year that I first installed WAMP so, I don't remember how I did it the first time and with the new it's not working.

It's white so, I know it's going, but it seems that I don't have things in the right place. It's a phpbb site and I have to run a MOD to install phpbb and then download my site and db to bring it up. I want to bring it right into wamp without having to run the MOD.

Now all I get is:

Internal Server Error

What am I doing wrong this time?
I just re-downloaded all of my files and db for my phpbb. I set my db up with the same name and put it all in the localhost. It's not working this time. Please help

sounds like u have iis installed


its a windows webserver that may be installed at installation... u can remove it on the add remove program list

I just found an error in the Apache log:

[Sun Jun 07 13:48:02 2009] [alert] [client 127.0.0.1] C:/wamp/www/gjr/.htaccess: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration, referer: [localhost]

Can this be the problem? and if so, how do I turn the RewriteEngine on?

Hi,

You must tick module Rewrite_module
Left click -> Apache ->Modules -> rewrite_module

Common error for me I forgot it everytime when I install wamp..

EDIT :
Internal Server Error is mostly due to an .htaccess error problem
Wrong syntax or unknow command, etc...
