getting on the Internet

hi every bod
i am trying to put wampserver online i have tried to do the port forwarding on my netgear dg834g router
but every time i go to connect it puts up the router setup page
i no some thing is wrong but i cant see it
can any one help please
or no ware i can get help for this

have you opened port 80 on the router. what firewall do you use?.

as far as i can see i have opened port 80 but i may have made mistakes
i am using norton 360 i havant checked that yet do i need to turn it of

this may not be an error.. try connect from another pc... not on the same network

if the page shows up then its ok,- some routers dont let u view ur own external ip

i have tried tha laptop to see if i can get to the wampserver on my pc but i get dns error server cannot be found
i take it this meens i have made mistakes on setting up the ports on the router?
any help or info please

the laptop will be on the same netowrk?


u need to try a differnt network,,,
if u want post up ur ip and ill try it
