WampServer

Hi this might be a noob question. I installed wamp2.0f and some groupwares on this computer, they all been running perfect locally, but when I tried to access everything from another computer (by typing "//computername/sitename/" in browser) in the same workgroup I got "403 Access Denied" error.

I used to have xampp, it didn't have this problem, I could access remotely exactly like I did on my localhost, so I knew theres some configuration needs to be done here, can anyone please educate me on this????

try typing in your internal ip then your site name

thanks but I still got the error, to be specific, Fireforx gave these lines:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
----------

try just tying in just the ip like [192.168.0.1] that should work

192.168.0.1 is my router's ip address.

maybe you didn't understand my question, let me put it this way:

We have 5 computers in our office, all in the workgroup "hrrxoffice", I installed wamp2.0f and egroupware on one of the computers (computer name: hrrxoffice), I then proceeded to configure the database and egroupware settings, they are all working fine on this particular computer.

Next I thought I'd continue the site config on my own computer (computer name: peter), so I typed in the browser: //hrrxoffice/egroupware/, and it immediately gave a 403 error.

It seems that access to either myphpadmin or egroupware is confined to the local machine with Wamp, because I didn't have this problem with Xampp, this is the last thing I want because I need to get the collaboration groupware working for all 5 computers.

alright I got it, I had to modify the apache's httpd file to "Allow from all" instead of "Allow from 127.0.0.1"

if your trying to access phpmyadmin you my need to add the ips to the phpmyadmin.conf file found in the alias directory of the server

Allow from 127.0.0.1

replacing the 192.0.0.0 with the actual ips of the other pcs
