this is set up like this.

you ned to open c:/wamp/alias/phpmyadmin.conf and change

Order Deny, Allow
Deny from All
Allow from 127.0.0.1

TO

Order Allow , Deny
Allow from all

ul also need to make a user in mysql that can connect from outside localhost

and most important,, U NEED TO BLOCK ACCESS TO PHPMYADMIN FROM EVERONE ON THE WEB

use a .htaccess file to add a password as well as having your mysql password

i wud usually move the phpmyadmin folder from apps into the www folder.
changing the httpd and phpmyadmin.conf pathes.

then password protect the phpmyadmin folder in the www folder and put the .htpass file back behine the www folder

I hope this is for windows. I was asked to clean registry... guess I am looking for wamp as a keyword in the Registry. Any other keywords that you might suggest?

PS: Which is the ONE 2.0 package that has no issues? I've tried everything from 2.0d > 2.0e > 2.0f > 2.0c

I just want to do simple Blog with Wordpress & maybe later Joomla. I do not want to spend too much time in the WAMP world.

It started with 2.0d which was giving some mysqld.exe error and since then I haven't had luck with even ONE of them.

Sorry JLBN.

I did not want to get into the details of Wamp: Apache, PHP, MySQL and just wanted to run a Local
Wamp with WP & Joomla.

This is more cumbersome than I imagined.

It might help in future if you describe the error in more detail when you ask for help.

Are you just trying to say that you are getting an "access denied error" when you are trying to access phpmyadmin? If you are getting an "access denied" error - then look at some of the posts that accurately describe the problem - there is a possible solution there.

If you don't describe the problem clearly - you might as well say "It's not working". My solution to this problem is just as vague, simply - "Check your settings".
