mod_rewrite help

Hi to all,

I m using wamp server2.0, this is the actial error i m getting. "Invalid command 'RewriteEngine'" what i want to do to correct his error, can any one help me in this please,

Hmm, I just logged in to ask if it is possible to enable mod rewrite. When installing Drupal, I couldn't enable smart url's cause mod rewrite is off.

Then what is the solution for such problems, how can i configure without this help, whether you have any idea about this or any other bypass way to furnish this.

I went through the menu but didn't find anything. I looked for 'mod rewrite'. Where can I find it, and how is it called?
