ok basicly wounderd how ican make it so my friend on a totaly diff pc can access the ftp of the wamp server on my pc...like a cpanel lin kand login my mate could use to upload his files..
the server is on my own pc like..

you have to install ftp server, then setup a (sub)domain so your friend can access your server through ftp client w/ your domain

i downloaded file zilla server? but dam nto sure what im doing at all

I don't use it, but they mostly have same concept that is creating server w/ your domain or ip, then setup user accounts and send that user account along w/ server info to your friends/clients so they can access your server; if you setup document root the same w/ wamp, you can use ftp server to control the size of each directory that assigned to your friends/clients ;-)

ok well ive setup "guildFTPd" added users i can access and view everything when i enter the FTP
but my mate he can login but cant see any of the directorys

not sure if i got it correct ? but he cant view any directories after login into ftp

make sure you already enable port 21 in all firewalls and routers, and also your friends have permission to view, download, upload, so on
