i am slowly going through a course on dream weaver i have arrived at the sending mail section is there a way of testing this function when i create the test pages on my computer?

Hi,
If you do a search on this forum for 'smtp' from the last 90 days, you will find out all the answers and more. Just click the line that prompts you to click it to see the hits.
Remember, if you are planning to publish your site, you need to make sure you follow the standard security guidelines to prevent your server from becoming 'owned' due to badly written forms and scripts. Do some research first on 'email injection' and 'sql injection' and how to prevent them.
