I keep getting this error: #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Tried to uninstall and reinstall with very little luck. Can one help me fix this?

search and rename/remove any my.ini file outside wamp folder, then follow my guide here

Tried that. Still didn't work... Also tried to replacing the user files already and that still did not work.

Now I get this: #2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

I reinstalled the service, restarted the server, and when I try to start the service in services.msc I get: Could not start the wampmysqld service on the local computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
