Hi,

Something must prevent wamp server to run correctly on my computer. The icon shows white with a red on left side. What does this mean?

When i try to launch phpMyAdmin or localHost i get an error message: "localhost is not set up to establish a connection with "world wide web service (HTTP)" " with this computer.

The server is online and my computer too (i can post on this forum).

Whats wrong? Any known conflict with vista or an Acer program running? I tried call Microsoft and Acer both companies charges on credit cards to offer support...

Please help!

on vista you cannot access wamp by typing "[localhost]' in the url, but you can access it by 'http://127.0.0.1' (or by any IP your PC has)

J.r.fish,

It doesn work neither typing in [127.0.0.1]

This stuff is really turning me bad. Nothing in the documentation explains for the white icon with red at left corner. I seem not to know what is blocking the server from running. Lots of R&Ds to complete.

No matter within or outside LAN access, you need to setup Access, DNS, and VH; Access for permission to connect to your Wamp PC, DNS to tie Domain(s) to your Wamp PC, and VH to host multiple Domains/Websites/IP's and even you have only 1 Domain/IP, you should use VH to set it up w/ the site you want to show up first on top and localhost on bottom and others in middle if having more than 1 site; w/ VH, other PC's, no matter w/i or outside LAN, can access/see websites/contents on your wamp PC. If dont have real Domain, just skip DNS guide

To setup Access, follow this

To setup VH, follow this
