WampServer

When I launch phpMyAdmin from the WampServer on the system tray, the following message comes out:

--Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.11.6

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

I just installed WampServer2.0c and I haven't tried doing anything yet
I'm very new at using this so I chose to register at this forum to ask help from those who are experienced in using wampserver.

uninstall it then re-install it and see what happens

I already did that. Still, nothing happens... I tried configuring the config.inc.php file in the phpMyAdmin folder but it seems like it can't detect the changes. It's as if that file was there for nothing. What could be the possible reasons?

Uninstall wamp, search and delete any my.ini file outside wamp folder, reinstall wamp
