in my local wamp server i made a database but when i uploaded it to the remote web server.its showing the following message.

"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /var/hsphere/local/home/deltatec/deltatec.u226.worldispnetwork.com/db.php on line 2

Hi,

Your remote web server seems to be running Unix/Linux. Have you tested the versions of MySQL and the available connection methods in that environment before?

If you do not know which version of MySQL is installed, tTalk to the people who are maintaining the server, and they may be able to help you.

im new here i cant connect my database from local host wamp server to the remote host web server.

plz tell me step by step the system to make connection with database.

you need to know wat version of mysql is on the other server

finally i did it..

but there is another problem, my exported database from local wamp server is not executing to the web php pg myadmin server,here it showing some error like character 18,19 like this.


so plz boss give a solution what should i change when i'll export the database from the local wamp server for phppgmyadmin.
