WampServer

Have just installed Wamp for the first time, when I run it comes up with the following error message:

php-win.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because php_mbstring.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

This error message repeats for a number of .dll files, finally culminating in:
CLI has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have closed Skype and ZoneAlarm, and the Wamp icon comes up in my system tray but it is white and no menu appears when I right-click.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Using Notepad to open and edit the php.ini file in wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5. php5.2.5 may be different from yours. Enable all the exentions be removing the comment ; at the beginning of the line.
For example: ;extension=php_mbstring.dll will become extension=php_mbstring.dll
