How to get this to work

I have downloaded wamp2 and followed the instructions used all the defaults. Not change a thing but when I go to [localhost] it just hangs nothing happens.

The wamp icon in the system tray is yellow does that mean anything.

I have tried this on 3 computers.
Windows Vista Ultimate
Windows XP Pro
Windows Media Edition

All fail !!!!!!!

Is there not a simple install that works so I can get on with my college work.

If I have to edit anything where do I find out what to edit, been at this googling for over a week now and nothing seems to work. Getting very frustrated. Tried to search this forum and it is a nightmare nothing seems to be in plain English

I would like this on my Windows Vista Machine if it is compitable.

I have met this problem, too.
I even re-install the OS, but invalid.

I don't know what to do.
Who can help me?

Make sure you don't have anything in this list:

IIS, Skype, Zone Alarm, NOD32, Eset, Internet Optimizer, Google Accelerator, so on

Done that now for an update. can get into the wamp menu but when I click on ohomyadmin it says

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

so now what do I do.

What do you mean "done that"? What soft are you using for anti-virus/firewall?

CAn get into the wamp main page but nothing else but never mind got XAMMP working no problem at all.
