WampServer

Hi:

I installed the latest WAMP server in my xp box(with xp sp2).

the version is : wamp2.0a : apache 2.26, mysql 5.0.45 , php 5.2.5 , phpmyadmin 2.10.1

then i installed cacti.

i enabled the php_sockets module. By checking the phpinfo, i found the sockets is enabled.

But i continuously got following error in my cacti log file:

-- 03/12/2008 03:07:31 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] WARNING: sockets support not enabled in PHP, falling back to SNMP ping

i googled it, people said the php_sockets not enbalbed would cause this problem.

And someone suggests to recompile the php with –enable-sockets option.

anyone had the similar problem? what caused this problem?

Should i upgrade the php? how?

Or manually recompile the php in the wamp server? how?
