i dunno whats wrong HELP! Im Running On Windows Vista Ulitmate

you muct have another copy of mysql on ur computer???? do you have microsoft iis installed?

of msql older version,,

yeah i have SQLlyog on it. dunno about Microsoft

both these programs run on port 3306. ur best to unistall one. even turning it off doesnt work sometimes

You can go to my.ini in wamp mysql5 folder and edit the port different from 3306 and restart mysql server.

SQLlyog is a GUI for MySQL, just like phpMyAdmin so it's not actually cause problem for MySQL to start

Did you ever use any other wamp package such as xampp, phpeasy, so on? If not, try this:

Left click on wamp tray icon, then MySQL, then my.ini to open this file, then:

Find:
default-storage-engine=InnoDB

Change to:
default-storage-engine=MyISAM

Restart wamp to take effect

That didnet work

xampp i used i think but i deleted the main folder for that so it shouldent be that

xampp is a wamp package just like this wampserver, and delete its folder will NOT help. You have to actually uninstall it, delete its document root folder, clean its registries, restart your computer then reinstall this wamp

i did install it. I even searched my computer no folder called xampp. so It should be all Clear damn vista never works right

i deleted everything a long time ago

I've seen a lot of people have the problem to install and run wampserver after they had used and even already uninstall xampp. Anyway, did you already clean its registries too after uninstall and delete its document root? Don't ask me what its registries are since I'm not using it and I don't know

Regsitries i think are the Main folder. That is In My computer... And if so yes i deleted that :p

No, they are not as you thought; for example, the registries for this wampserver are wampapache and wampmysql and if you do a proper search, you see them somewhere else then just wamp folder??? So check w/ xampp website for that info

Everything it says at the homepage i did. so i dont know whats wrong with this thing

any other ideas? Please im running a private server and i need a website but it wont work.

Maybe it will help you in solving problems. Install only mysql5 and test if it is working, and figure out why it isn't.
