Ok did that - and yeah it is all white - bar far right totally 90 degrees. Cleared cache, history and stuff - Private Data pretty much and clicked link - Firefox opened new tab - searched for a moment and then Done - totally white page - no source code at all.

what would be a sure fire way of seeing what the problem is with this - you tell me and I will do the work on whatever - or a remote connection, I don't care at the moment, I just want this working. I don't really want to go to any other software to be honest after seeing the type of people here as yourself - I want to use WAMP.

Please let me know next move - I hope their is one - this has to have a fix.

Ok I have gone to task manager and ended McAfee - all I could see, still nothing. Did I need to restart before I checked again? I did restart all services on the server but not the computer. I will uninstall if I have to, just slow connection here and will take some time to redownload.

Also no router here at all, aircard, single computer and directly to the internet via the card, and no firewall on now either. Dangerous uh? lol...

Anyway - it didn't work this time either, but inform me of what to do, I can start up or download MSN as well if you want.

Curious if you were setup port for Skype as follows:
File -> Options -> Connection -> Uncheck "Use port 80 as an alternative for..."
Anyway, I don't think it's a problem from McAfee, but I've seen a lot of people had hard time to get wamp working after they tried xampp, even already uninstall xampp
Since your wamp is new, so I assume you don't have any data yet, thus, suggest that uninstall wamp, run regedit to find and delete all intances of wampapache, wampmysql, apache, mysql, php, and any xampp related, restart computer and reinstall wamp

What is the simplest way to search the regedit? just type in what your searching for and let it find it? Stupid sounding I know but never done this, so please advise...

Thanks so very much, Allen

Start, then Run, then type regedit, then ctrl + F to search, but you have to uninstall everything first; however, regedit will hang or even crash your whole computer so make sure you know what you're doing

I know people hate me when I say this, but if have a spare hard drive, try to install windows, wamp and antivirus/firewall only before even install your air card and everything else, then when wamp already work, install other softs 1 by 1 to find out which 1 is the cause that prevent wamp to work

Ok didn't work. I have done all I know to do. I have done the following.

Deleted Skype totally from my computer and any Regedit spots as well on it

Deleted WAMP - every file, every extension that would relate to php, apache, mysql, xampp, jsas, etc. I might have missed something but really not sure since I am new at this.

Have restarted my machine, cleared cache, history and private data - still just stalls in firefox as it just keeps looking for localhost.

Have reinstalled WAMP - tried and failed. One thing I did do.

I went to Apache and did Install Service - it comes up telling me that port 80 is taken by Apache already - which is wamp of course - so it is using port 80 already.

Please ANYONE - there has to be a simpler way to help get this thing going - I can't do a wipe as I just got this system last week and just got it up to par so to speak with downloads on this slow speed air card.

The icon is white with the bar 90 degrees to the right fully. Seems everything is working right, but just nothing comes up...

Apache actually started an access log this time - where it hasn't the last few times - it is below...

Write down all extensions you have w/ FF, then uninstall and reinstall FF, check to make sure your wamp work, then reinstall extension 1 by 1 to see which 1 is the cause

For some reason after it worked in IE it worked in FireFox as well, I just checked it right before trying your suggestion in IE, but once IE worked, firefox just followed along somehow, Doesn't make sense no - BUT worked anyway and still is working.

Now I just need a way to get a database moved over once downloaded - using something I can understand. Phpmyadmin is just a not user friendly program to me personally - I use Navicat and that is simple.

Where does WAMP create the database folder at? Trying to figure a short cut to just set one up so that Navicat can then sync it up with what is online. I know you have a Guide online with Phpmyadmin but to be honest I am not sure I would get passwords right and such.

Please advise if you can...

Thank you so much for you guys sticking it out with me.
