Thanks, I appreciate it. I am not at the machine right now, but plan on tackling it again when I get home from work. I tried doing it manually last night, but could only get Apache up and running, not PHP...... never even got to Mysql ( it was installed, but I could not get the ./install.php script to run.
just realised thats for weserver install. not suitable for u
the other one is fine copy everythin into a folder called forum in the www fodler and run the install.php once u have php and mysql running and smf will make all its databases it needs
