WampServer

Hi... I am verryy veryy new to wampserver and I just downloaded and installed it and I thought I had everything correct but I guess not..

whenever I type in [localhost] or go to localhost through wampServer the page will not load and I get "unable to connect to localhost"

any ideas?

too many things that would prevent wamp to work, so you have to check your firewalls, any other soft that might use same port 80 or prevent wamp to use port 80 such as skype, zone alarm, internet optimizer, so on

I checked my firewalls and port 80 is open and I do not believe I have any program that uses port 80... I use Windows Vista by the way..

Then check Setup WAMP guide on my personal websites, especially the screenshots, to see if you're missing any step

but ive also tried the usual way [www.jlbn.net]

Is it working for you now? I can access them now from far away from my LAN w/o any problem, and I also see more than 100 people access my websites too

yes thankyou it was something to do with my browser or router, what is strange though i was able to refresh the forum page but not able to view a new web page using a new ie7 tab, anyway i will study your step by step guid on wamp2.0 vista set up.
