phpinfo() page works, but not other pages

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on my situation:

I'm running WAMP2 on an XPsp2 box and the server opens at startup, the problem though is that all of the services work when I click on and of the WAMP2 menu items, but not when I go to [localhost]. I'm also going to assume that MySQL isn't working, either, but one step at a time. This is a fresh install of the WAMP2 server on a brand new (clean) XP installation. If anybody has suggestions, I'd appreciate it a lot!

Also; I have checked the httpd.conf and the like and everything seems to be linked correctly.

Besides win xp and wamp, what other soft do you have?

the only other program aside from wamp is Kaspersky, which, the ports/processes associated with wamp/apache/php/mysql have been allowed in the anti-hacker(firewall) list

Wamp should work w/ Kaspersky w/o any problem, but you might try to uninstall Kaspersky, restart computer and try again

Either way, it didn't.

My solution:
-Dump wamp2 (sadly)
-Install Apache/PHP/MySQL separately

I'm up and running now.

I know this doesn't fix the bug I had, but I just needed the thing running.

As mentioned, you should check kaspersky since other people have problem w/ it, refer to this thread
