Hi,

I had WAMP5 installed previous (worked fine) I uninstalled WAMP 5 and removed the wamp folder. I'm pretty sure I got rid of everything.

I installed this new wamp everything seemed fine. However only 1 service starts, I can' tell if it's MySQL or Apache. I can see the little icon in my system tray, but I can't click on it. I tried right clicking, and left clicking no menu shows up.

I really don't know what the problem is.

I'm not running IIS or Skype

I'm using Windows XP 64bit.

Try to fix tray icon first, then find out which service is not working

If using vista 64, try this:

Using your desire text editor to open file wampmanager.conf in folder c:/wamp

Enclose the path in line four and five w/ double quote, for example:

installDir = "C:/wamp"
navigator = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\Firefox.exe"

If this trick works for you, it's credited to darrell9026

Nice, that fixed my menu problem.

And all the services are running, apparently yellow means they are both running, where as before it meant one was running.

Although I can't access phpmyadmin it says access denied for root @ localhost

Thanks!
