a friend install xampp on my computer before and he said he uninstalled it but im not sure if he really did..

anyway as i installed wamp everything was fine until i tried to create a table on phpmyadmin..it says:

"Can't create/write to file 'C:\xampp\tmp\#sql_1c8_0.MYI"

so it led me to think that the problem is on the previews installation of xampp because it says "c:\xampp...." instead of "wamp"

so...how do i fix this?

thnx

After uninstall any wamp package including this wamp, xampp, or any other, you have to completely remove its root folder and related registries before install another wamp package such as this wamp

For this wamp package, registries are wampapache and wampmysql

Start menu, Run, Regedit, Edit/Find (or Ctrl + F) wampapache and wampmysql, select and delete

I don't use xampp so I don't know its registries; you have to check their sites for the answer
