403 error for everything

Hi, and sorry for having to post this, but it seems that your search function isn't working, and I couldn't find an answer anywhere else.
Here is my problem: I installed wamp5 on a windows 2000 box (just as I did 10 times before), but this time when I try to acces localhost (with the default settings), or phpmyadmin, or any webpage, for that matter, hosted on the server, it gives out a 403 error, that I don't have acces to /.
If I click "Put Online", I do have acces to the localhost files, but still dont't have any acces to phpmyadmin.
I've seen a lot of cases where people just wake up that they have this problem, after a fresh installation, even though they installed the server many times before (just as I did).
This is a fresh installation, on a fresh system. I didn't change any settings, and when installing wamp5 I intentionally just clicked next, next, selecting every option I had (like start as a service).
If anybody has any idea how to resolve this issue, I am sure that there are many users out there that have the same issues as I do.

And please see why the search option of this forum isn't woking.
Thanks.

Thanks for explaining how search works.
Still, I couldn't find anything about this error.
The only thing that I could find is that I shouldn't have any other server installed (IIS), but I don't, so this doesn't seem to be the problem.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

1. Try to access this url
[localhost]
instead of
[localhost]
(it worked once for me)

2. Go and delete the session's temporary files that are in \wamp\tmp\ directory.
It also has saved me when i couldn't access phpmyadmin.
(Delete all files in it except \wamp\tmp\session_dir which file is part of wamp installation.. )

hi, and thanks for the ideas, but they didn't work.
the tmp dir was empty (only session_dir existed). The same error was given when trying to access the phpmyadmin index.php file.
The error is: "You don't have permission to acces /phpmyadmin/index.php on this server"

I tried modifying the access rights with "Allow all", but apache wouldn't load anymore.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
