moving the www directory outside of the wamp directory

Hey guys,

This is an 'is this possible?' type of question. In the future I'd like to use two pc's and one network disk, and I'm trying to figure out ways to synchronize files between the two machines. I'm wondering if it is possible to place the www directory outside of the wamp directory. This way, both pc's could have wamp installed, and both could use the same www directory (on my network disc).

Am I crazy?

Kind regards,

Walter Vos, the Netherlands

No, you're not crazy, but not all network drives are supported. I've used to have wamp running on my NAS drives, but now wamp running on 3 computers 24/7 instead

What do you mean? Moving www folder outside wamp or synchronize data?

What do you mean by not all network drives are supported? I didn't mean I wanted to install wamp on the network drive, I only want to move my www directory there. Although I've also considered going for the Linksys NSLU2, on which you can install a webserver.
