one service running

as a pure beginner, I have a problem:

I installed WAMP default. Only one service will run; MySQL. Apache will not start.
I have Apache also running, but shut it down. (Might that be the reason?)

What can I do to solve this?

make sure you don't have any program that use port 80 such as IIS, skypes, so on, and you also have to give full access in all firewalls as well
