wamserver not running

I have operating system windows xp installed in my computer.I have installed wampserver.But when i clicked on localhost it is giving internal server error and says page can not be found?Please help me and tell me what instruction should i follow to work on wampserver.I m unable to run single programm using wamp server.Please help me.Thank you in advance
