Hello, I am a newbie that recently installed Wamp5. How do I create a new password for mysql? I receive a message: Your configuration file contains settings ( root with no password) that corressponds to the default MySQL priviledged account.

I followed your suggestion and successfully changed my password root@localhost,but upon trying to set the password in the second place I did not see that particular folder (config.inc.php) I saw config.inc and config.sample.inc Also, when I tried to open up one of those folders it could not be opened because it was located in my microsoft digital image folder. What, in the name of SCRIPT am I supposed to do?????

It's a file, not folder, and you have to enable hidden extension to see the file config.inc becomes cofig.inc.php, and you can open and edit it w/ any text editor

if you read "do not edit" the file was copied over from
libraries/config.default.php by someone who didn't read the Documentation.html (the xampp ppl did so, at least until recently).
