Hi,

I wanted to know if its just me experiencing this problem or its bug in the new release. I made the setup in windows 2000 prof. sp4 with the default options. I didn't change any thing significant. Out of the 5 services that should be running, only essential 3 are running ie., apache, php & mysql. phpmyadmin & sqlitemanager are not running. If i access [127.0.0.1] i get 403 forbidden permission denied problem. the message i get in firefox 2.0.0.7 is "You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server" . What should i change to access phpmyadmin & sqlitemanager. It would be nice if all users in this subnet of network could access phpmyadmin. For example all users of 192.168.1.0 network could access phpmyadmin.

thanks,

with regards,
ashwin_cse

Yes I have the same problem with 2000 professional on one machine but I have installed Wamp on others without a hitch. So I'm taking the view that it is a local problem and seeing if any bits of the old Wamp remain or looking to the system/admin setup. Please let me know if you find a solution.
Thanks

I have tried as many combinations of configs and windows permissions as possible but with no success and have now in desperation and because I have a lot of work, I have loaded everything manually and it works fine.
It may be that there is a bug in the new Wamp for Windows 2000 pro

it's an apache 2.2.4 bug *on win 2000* :
remote user is always 0.0.0.0 so *any* ip check fails.
I had to downgrade to 2.2.3.

Apache 2.2.5 which corrects the Windows 2000 bug is now available for download at

(I have not tried this yet but will do so later this week)
