Work on Win 2000?

I'm trying to install WAMP5 onto a Windows 2000 professional pc (clean install of Win 2000 prior to trying to install WAMP). It installs and when i go to [localhost] it brings up the WAMP mainpage. However when I go the link for various other things such as phpmyadmin, it falls. I've gone through the same process on my XP pc and it works fine.
Upon looking on the WAMP homepage it says not compatable with Win 98 or ME. Is 2000 classed as ME too?

apache 2.2.4 has a bug *on win 2000* :
REMOTE_ADDR is always 0.0.0.0 so *any* ip check/login fails.
I had to downgrade to 2.2.3.
