Upgrading WAMP

Hello all,

I was wondering how I'd go about upgrading my current WAMP installation (WAMP5 Version 1.7.0).
Preferably without losing all my databases and files.

I couldn't find any information on this in the FAQ.

Thanks,
Ben

save all the files/folders in C:\wamp\mysql\data. backup all your website files located in c:\wamp\www.

the latest versions of wamp are not upgradeable, so you will need to do a complete uninstall and reinstall

1) uninstall wamp
2) delete the c:\wamp folder
3) restart pc
4) install latest wamp

now put back all your backed up files.

That's silly.

Can't I just install a new version of PHP over the current one?
It can't be hard, I just need to know what to replace.
