WampServer

Hi,

wampmanager.exe file isn't copied during installation while everything else does

here is the error message I receive

C:\wamp\wampmanager.exe
An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory:
Movefile failed code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified

no idea why

as a last resort could anyone send me that file. Pretty sure just copying it manually would work as the whole installation process worked til completion except for the main program file

make sure that wamp directory is not set to read only.

Yes you are right, it is indeed set to read-only. The thing though is if I try to remove the read only from the folder and subfolder it reverts back automatically to read only, so I am still at square one unable to extract that exe file.

I am using explorer and changing properties.

forgot, but why are all other files even other exe files being extracted succesfully into the c::\wamp folders?

try a clean uninstall and reinstall. uninstall wamp, delete the c:\wamp folder, restart pc, install wamp again

the same exact problems occurs for me too. can someone please PM me the wampmanager.exe file too?

I olso got that problem... tried to change folder permission but it did not work... Can someone pls give me a copy of theire wampmanager.exe? thx!

try disable or remove your anti virus.

I have got same trouble on my Windows Server 2003 now. How i fix this? Have tried reboot and disable anit virus
