Hi, I installed wamp, and I just want to use it for a wordpress blog. I don't know anything about php or mysql, so i would like to ask a few questions. First off(and I said stupid questions,) how do you set up a mysql database? Also(extremely stupid,) I'm confused on how to actually get my server online. It is my understanding that when online, my url will just be my ip address until i get a domain, is that correct?

do not use wamp as a production server. it is designed for local testing and development and comes with no security in place at all. you need to read my wamp manual (link is in my sig.
