I've sold my Compaq sr2150nx w/ Intel Celeron 356 / 3.33GHz for $350 and Acer 17' LCD for $150 then got this Acer AL2216WBD 22" Widescreen LCD for $140 and HP workstation xw4400 w/ Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 / 1.86 GHz for $200, and already upgrade memory to 4 GB of 667MHz / DDR2 PC2-5300 for another $72, so total for this new server is $272;

For server, I've alway have 3 machines and setup as redundant server so primary down, secondary immediately kick in until primary back on and the third is the backup; primary and secondary each has 1TB (500GB x 2) and backup has 2TB (500GB x 4); in addition, there are 1TB NAS (500GB x 2) which can be accessed from any desktop or laptop w/i LAN; of course, all these 3 are for server, and I'm using my laptop for all other computing needs, even web designs.
