Cant access phpmyadmin

I downloaded the newer version of wamp today, deleted my old one which worked great btw, and now I can not get my wamp running again. I go to myphpadmin to change permissions etc and get the following message on my very first log in.

Error
MySQL said:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

How can I know the password when I havent set it? Anyone who can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, I've already tried to use my old password, same problem.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm such an idiot, all I needed to do was clean up my registery, now it works fine.

try this one, locate your wamp folder on ur drive C: then locat phpmyadmin folder then try to edit config.inc, and try to follow this and save, then restart all services .. hope it will help.
