Upgrade/reinstall WAMP [RESOLVED]

Hi All,

Does anyone know if reinstalling WAMP (I am running 1.6.4) will delete my MySQL tables? I've read that I need to backup my WAMP directory (argh) and uninstall it, restart and reinstall it, but I am concerned that I will lose my tables.

Has anyone gone thru this yet?

Recommendations?

YES, you NEED to backupyour tables and passwords, etc.
BEFORE upgrade.
To urpgrade : after backup , uninstall wamp 1.6.4 , delete the wamp directory, reboot and then install the new wamp 1.7.2.
