How to enable register_globals?

How to enable register_globals, because when i want to install a OsCommerce, it shows: "FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!". Please HELP ME!

actually it is a good thing to enable register globals. disabling it may make writing scripts easier, but it is a huge security risk. the php community started shipping php with register globals enabled by default starting with php 4.2
