WampServer

I just installed WAMP and everything looked like it worked fine, I got it online and eveything. I used the command mysql_connect("localhost","root",""; to connect to the server and I got the warning:

"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10050) in C:\wamp\www\index.php on line 2"

So I don't know what to do, I also forwarded the ports 3306 and 10050 through my router just in case....but I still get the warning...

haha, I found my problem, it was my firewall.....for those of you who are using bitdefender as their antivirus with vista, make sure you have it off....then while the page has access to the mysql server, turn it on and it will ask you if you want to allow the connection.....hope this helps those who are using vista
